Last Minute Candidates Crowd the Field
District 1 remains a contest between the incumbent, Sherwin Henry, and newcomer Marcia Wimberly. But a small mob has suddenly qualified to be on the March 24 ballot for Gainesville City Commission At-Large District 1.
Jeanna Mastrodicasa, elected in 2006 in a battle with Tony Domenech, now has 4 opponents: newcomers Robert Krames, James B. Schlachta, Tom Cunilio, and Craig Lowe opponent from 2007 Richard Selwach.
I have sent out emails to all candidates so far except Tom Cunilio, who did not list an email address with the Supervisor of Elections. Someone have him contact me. I look forward to having information here about ALL candidates.
