Receive Text
This new service is meant to help you remember to vote in your local elections. And because we know it can be pretty inconvenient to vote, we are encouraging you to vote by absentee ballot if you are afraid you might miss an important election. Just click on this link and you can submit your absentee ballot request form online!
After you have done this, just sign up for text alerts on the left side bar of this web site and we will send you a text letting you know that you should look for your absentee ballot in the mail real soon. Then you will get another text message just before the election to remind you to get it in the mail before it is too late!
Even if you don’t want to get an absentee ballot at this time, this text messaging service will remind you to call the Supervisor of Elections at 352-374-5252 to send you one if you have changed your mind, and the second message will remind you to plan on voting real soon.
Be aware that your mobile phone carrier may charge you some small change amount to receive text messages.
